Week 1 reflection

During our first session during my first EDET class we looked at what is education and education technology.  Also, we focused on what is/is not technology. I learnt that any tool we used to make our life easier IS technology. Wow! that was new to me! Can you believe? We also learnt the difference between Tools( book, pen, computer) and Strategies( groups, games and rewards). All new to me!

In session two, we looked at six types of media, people , verbal communication, visual, written/text,manipulation, audio/listening and video. I learnt how to create a KWL chart and we discussed the types of learners, learning types and theories of learning.

Homework was to create a powerpoint slide on learning!

What a first week and such a vibrant facilitator! Wow!
